National Conference on Sustainable Fashion - A Resounding Success
We are delighted to share that the National Conference on "Sustainable Fashion - A Movement from Fast Fashion to Slow Fashion" was held on 7th March at Kovilpatti, jointly organized by G. Venkataswamy Naidu College and Holy Cross Home Science College. The event was a great success, featuring over 50 paper presenters and invited speakers, and provided a vibrant platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge.
A heartfelt thank you to the Director, Principal, and the HOD of Costume Design & Fashion, Mr. Shivasankaran, for this incredible opportunity. Special thanks to Professors Kalaiselvi, Manjula, and Kousalya for their exceptional support and contributions. We extend our congratulations to the entire organizing team for executing such a timely and relevant event, as the world increasingly embraces sustainable practices.

Empowering LGBTQIA+ Community through Career and Livelihood Opportunities: A Workshop by SIDBI and RAAHI
We are thrilled to share the success of a recent workshop organized by SIDBI in collaboration with RAAHI, a social initiative for the LGBTQIA+ community. The workshop focused on career and livelihood opportunities, and it was a pleasure to contribute by discussing prospects within the apparel and fashion industry.
This workshop, hosted by SIDBI Bank in Bengaluru, served as an excellent platform for like-minded individuals to brainstorm and collaborate. Our heartfelt thanks go to Shri. B. Ulagiyan, DGM of SIDBI, for providing this opportunity and for the exceptional hospitality extended during the event.
The concept of bringing together experts from various domains to guide and orient the audience was truly remarkable. We extend our congratulations to the SIDBI team for their visionary initiative in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community.

I had the privilege of addressing hundreds of women gathered to celebrate Women's Day at Texport Industries, RR Nagar, Bangalore. Women are the backbone of the apparel manufacturing industry, and their skills and dedication have driven significant growth in the sector. This event was thoughtfully planned to recognize and honor women for their strength and resilience.
I extend my heartfelt thanks to the management of Texport Industries, HR Manager Mr. Jayaprasad, and AGM of HR Ms. Olivia for providing this wonderful opportunity.
The vision for our nation can be greatly advanced by the contributions of women visionaries, regardless of age, status, occupation, or demographics.
Terracotta Workshop on World Mental Health Day - October 10th, 2023
In celebration of World Mental Health Day, we are excited to share insights from our recent Terracotta Workshop. As a practicing fashion designer, I am proud to highlight the holistic nature of Indian Desi fashion. This tradition encompasses all the elements necessary to engage the five senses, thereby enhancing the psychological, social, and economic well-being of individuals.
Today, alternative therapies such as color therapy, art therapy, and music therapy are increasingly being recognized for their psychological healing benefits. This underscores the potential of our ancient practices, which hold great promise.
Artists and designers are integral members of our society, and it is our duty to give back. Let's seize opportunities to contribute to healing through our design skills. Our designs are for the people, who are a harmonious blend of mind, body, and emotions.
